AI video from our studio

What AI video production covers

AI video production is the full job of making a film, a spot or an ad, with the shots generated by AI models rather than filmed. Everything around the shots is ordinary production craft: writing, boarding, planning the camera, cutting, grading, scoring and mixing. Exsale runs all of it in one studio, and one director makes the decisions from the brief to the delivered files.

The models are one step in that chain. They render shots. They don't decide which shot the story needs, where the cut falls or when the music should drop out. That's directing, and it's what turns a set of generated clips into a film.

Plan, make, finish

Every production runs in three stages.

Plan. A call and a written brief set the audience, the message, the formats and the deadline. We write the treatment and the script, draw a storyboard frame for every shot and build reference sheets for each character, product and location. Then we block the whole piece in 3D previs: camera moves, lenses and timing in Blender, in simple shapes you can watch and sign off.

Make. Each shot is generated from its previs frame and the reference sheets, with whichever model handles that kind of shot best. We compare the takes against the boards and keep the one that matches. If a face or a label drifts, the shot is made again.

Finish. The shots are cut together in the edit. Motion graphics add titles, on-screen text and product callouts, and the color grade matches each shot to the next. AI music is written to the cut, sound design adds effects and ambience, and the final mix balances voice, music and effects. Delivery is masters for TV, CTV and web, cutdowns for social and variants for ad testing.

What the workflow makes

The same three stages make four kinds of work, each with its own page:

  • AI commercials: TV, CTV and online spots in :15, :30 and :60.
  • AI video ads: paid-social ads built for the feed, with variants of the hook and the offer to test.
  • AI product videos: launch films and explainers that show how a product works.
  • AI films: brand films and original shorts that keep the same characters from the first shot to the last.

Which one fits depends on the buyer. A SaaS, AI or app company launching a product usually needs a launch film or an explainer. DTC and ecommerce brands run paid-social ads and product films. Luxury, beauty and wellness brands commission brand films and campaign spots, legal advertisers run TV, CTV and social spots, and corporate, training and real estate teams make event, training and development films.

Directed, not generated

At every step, a person decides, not a model:

  • You approve the script and the storyboard before anything is generated.
  • Camera, blocking and timing are locked in 3D, so the shots cut together.
  • Characters and products are built once and held to their reference sheets in every shot.
  • The director checks every frame before it reaches the edit.
  • Music is written for the film and mixed with the voice and effects, not pulled from a stock library.

You see the plan before it's made, and nothing reaches you that the director hasn't watched.

One stage or the whole production

Some briefs need one stage, not all three. You can hire us for a 3D previs on its own, video editing and a color grade for footage you already have, or the music and final mix for a cut that's nearly done. We can also cut generated shots into footage you've filmed, graded to match. For a steady run of ads or edits, ask about a monthly retainer.

Tell us which stages you need. How long the work takes depends on the brief. A schedule and quote follow the first call.

The planning and the finish are the same: script, boards, edit, grade, music and mix. The difference is the shoot. Instead of a crew, cameras and locations, each shot is generated by AI models from a 3D previs and reference sheets. That means no permits, set builds or weather days, and it means every shot needs a director checking it for drift.

You approve the script and storyboard, then sign off the 3D previs before any shot is generated. After production you review the cut, then the final mix and the delivery files. Notes are easiest to act on early: moving a camera in the previs is a small change, while the same change after production means generating the shot again.

The common tells are faces that change between shots, warped text and camera moves with no weight. Our process is built around each one: the previs sets real camera moves, reference sheets hold faces and products steady, and the director checks every frame. A shot that still shows a tell is made again or fixed in the finish before it reaches you.

Yes. We cut generated shots together with your footage, grade them to sit in the same look and mix the sound across both. Send the footage at the start so we can plan the generated shots around its lenses, light and color.

Shot by shot. Some models hold a face better, some handle product close-ups and some move the camera more convincingly. For a key shot, we try more than one model and keep the take that matches the boards. Each studio piece lists the models used in its credits.
