What AI video ads are

AI video ads are paid-social ads where AI models generate the shots: the product turning on a counter, a hand peeling back a lid, a presenter holding the box up to the lens. At Exsale they go through the same steps as a commercial, planned for the feed: a script, a storyboard, a 3D previs, generated shots, an edit, captions and a mix.

What changes is how the ad is judged. A TV spot is approved and goes on air. A paid-social ad runs against other versions of itself, and the budget follows the ones that perform. So we plan a set, not a single ad: one idea with different hooks, offers and end cards, each ready to upload.

Made for the feed

In a feed, the ad plays small, between posts the viewer came to see, and one swipe skips it. We plan for that from the first board.

Vertical comes first, because Reels, Stories, TikTok and Shorts all play 9:16. The hook, the product and the text are framed for a phone held upright. The 4:5, 1:1 and 16:9 versions are laid out on their own, not cropped from one master. Each app puts buttons, captions and a profile name over the picture, so faces, text and the product stay clear of those zones.

Because many feeds autoplay on mute, every ad is planned to make sense without sound. The hook is visual, the key lines appear as on-screen text and captions are burned in. Then we mix it for the viewers who turn the sound on.

Built to test

A test is easiest to read when each version changes one thing. We plan the variants with you at the brief: several openings on the same body, the same ad with a different offer, or one cut with new end cards.

The hook gets the most versions, because it decides whether anyone sees the rest: a question on screen, the product already in motion, a before and after, a face mid-sentence.

Every variant is exported, named and grouped by what it tests, so your team can load the set into the ad account without guessing which file is which. You run the test and read the results. When a hook or an offer wins, we can build the next set of ads around it.

The same product in every ad

A set of ads only tests the idea if the product looks the same in every one. We build a product sheet from your photos and packaging files: every side of the box or bottle, the label, the logo and the brand colors. Each shot is generated against that sheet and checked before it goes in the cut. A wrong label or a shifted logo means the shot is made again or fixed in the finish.

Characters work the same way. A presenter gets a reference sheet for face, hair and wardrobe, so the person in the hook is the same person at the end card, and in the next set of ads too.

From brief to upload

The first call and a written brief cover the product, the audience, the offer, the platforms you buy and what you want the test to answer. We write the hooks and scripts, draw a frame for every shot and block the ads in 3D previs with every format marked. You approve the scripts and sign off the previs before anything is generated.

Then production, the edit, motion graphics for on-screen text and callouts, captions, original music and the mix. Delivery is every variant in every format on your plan, ready to upload. How long it takes depends on the number of ads, variants and formats. A schedule and quote follow the first call.

Questions about AI video ads

EXSALE

Yes: creator-style ads with an AI presenter talking to camera and using the product, framed like a phone video. The presenter introduces the product and never poses as a real customer giving a review. Some platforms ask advertisers to label realistic AI-generated content, so check each one's rules before you upload.

The hook, the opening frame, the offer, a voiceover line, the music or the end card, changed one at a time. We plan the variants with you at the brief, so each one answers a question you've chosen. Your team runs the test in your ad account and reads the results.

Yes. We plan each ad to read on mute: the story is told in pictures and on-screen text, with captions burned in for every spoken line. The music and the mix are there for the viewers who tap for sound.

We deliver files for each placement you buy: 9:16 for Reels, Stories, TikTok and YouTube Shorts, 4:5 and 1:1 for Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn feeds, and 16:9 for YouTube and the web. Send your media plan and we'll match the lengths and sizes to it. Ad specs change often, so we check every export against the platform's current guide.

Yes. Ads wear out in the feed, so we can work on a monthly retainer and deliver new hooks, angles and variants on a schedule. The characters, product sheet and previs scenes carry over, so new ads match the ones already running.
